Mara R. King
Mara R. King, an associate at Andrucki & Mitchell, holds a 1994 B.A. Degree from Wheaton College in Massachusetts and received her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2007.
Prior to working in the legal field, Mara worked for the New York State Office of Federal Affairs, on Capitol Hill, as a graduate assistant; for the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial as Deputy to the Executive Director in their Washington, DC office and Director of the San Francisco Robert F. Kennedy Fellows AmeriCorps program. In 1999, she returned to Maine where she worked for New Beginnings Transitional Living Program and the State of Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services as a children services caseworker.
Mara is the President of the Maine Alliance for Drug Treatment Courts Board of Directors, a newly incorporated charitable organization created to support and enhance the services of the Maine Drug Treatment Courts and to promote community understanding of the benefits of these collaborative courts. Mara is also a volunteer lawyer at the Lewiston District Court for the Volunteer Lawyer’s Projects’ Court House Assistance Project and has been doing so since 2009. In addition, Mara was a member of the Justice for Children Task force from 2007-2010.
Raised in Bangor, Maine, Mara now lives with her husband and family in Central Maine.
